I’ve started an archive, to help my memory.
A list of films I have watched thus far, this year – over on tumblr.
There are posters, if I can find one I like. Otherwise, there’s a dreadful quote from the poster, which has no bearing on the film whatsoever.

This is really quite a clever idea. Take a dreadful digital camera (the one on the iPhone), then make a little app to manipulate the images to look like Holga or Lomo shots. It works brilliantly.
CameraBag was originally £4.99, but it’s now only £1.79 in the App Store. I don’t know how long that’ll last for, but i’d snap it up (pardon the pun) while it’s on offer.
I could of course, manipulate my iPhone photographs in Photoshop to do the same thing, but quite frankly, I can’t be bothered. This app is a delight to use, and I like the pause as you wait to see how your photographs will turn out. So far, I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

A twin lens, 35mm camera – which looks like a toy medium format camera. Oh joy! It’s wonderful and I want one. These have only just been released in Tokyo, apart from a lucky few who were able to try out the camera – in return for their films being used in promotional material.

If you happen to be Concrete Hermit or Magma anytime soon – check out this month’s issue of Anorak magazine. You’ll be able to read the rest of the story of the three-eyed dog who landed back on earth, illustrated by Adrian Fleet.
For those of you who know me, you’ll be aware that this is a shameless plug. Still, it’s more than worth a look, there’s some great stories and illustration – one of my favourites being ‘How Mr Toast spent his summer’. Get an issue here.
