Merriweather post pavillion

The new Animal Collective album is due on the 12th of January next year [pre-order from Domino here]. Whilst debating whether to attend ATP NY to see both Animal Collective and Panda Bear, I was mesmerised by the album artwork [via Waves at Night]. Don’t stare at it too long…

There’s been plenty of trouble over at the Grizzly Bear blog - after a copy of Brother Sport was put up. I’m not sure which version this was, I’m guessing it wasn’t the NPR Live session. Still, if you haven’t heard it - have a listen.

Shop at Maison Bertaux

Shop at Maison Bertaux, one of my favourite shops in London, is closing.

Today they started the closing down sale, with 30% off.

It’s really quite upsetting. I remember before Shop at Maison Bertaux existed - when Pippa and Max ran The World According To… and before that, when it was confusingly (for anyone else you spoke to) just called ‘Shop’. I was delighted when Shop re-opened, in one of the best cake shops in Soho.

I guess it’s a sign we’re really not spending as much on luxury items. I’m saddened, it’s such a shame we’ll be left with only the mire that is the high street, if the smaller boutiques now close.

Where am I going to find the perfect A.P.C. dresses, or lust after Repetto ballet shoes? Not that I can afford them at the moment…
